About Psychotherapy

We all experience distress, fear, loss, anxiety. There are times when it is very helpful to talk to someone about it. Psychotherapy provides a safe place, in a confidential and trusting relationship, where you can work through the issues that are troubling you and find a way forward.

The psychotherapy I provide for clients is open-ended: my aim is to help you resolve your issues as quickly as possible but I will always work with you for as long as you feel the work is helpful. Where problems are deep-rooted or stem from childhood experiences this can involve working together for some time. Whether the therapy is brief or long-term, I am committed to accompanying you for the whole journey.

Clients come to work with me for many different reasons including:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
  • Bereavement and other life crises
  • Relationship problems
  • Domestic abuse
  • Unresolved childhood issues including sexual abuse
  • Low self esteem and lack of confidence
  • Adoption issues
  • Therapy for trainee therapists

Whatever issues are troubling you, we can discuss them to decide if psychotherapy is right for you.
